Coach Shawn Martin

Coach Shawn Martin serves as the Deputy Director of City SC Utah South and brings over 17 years of premier-level coaching and leadership experience in youth soccer. A longtime Saratoga Springs resident, Shawn is deeply connected to the local community and passionate about helping players develop both on and off the field.

Throughout his coaching career, Shawn has built highly competitive teams and a strong player development culture. His accomplishments include 3 State Cup Championships, 2 State Cup finalist finishes, a Regional Championship, 2 National League titles, 4 Desert Conference titles, and 2 appearances in the National Championship Series, including a third-place finish.

Player development has always been at the center of his coaching philosophy. Shawn has helped more than 25 players move on to play college soccer and has guided players into elite pathways including the Real Salt Lake Academy Pre-Academy and the Barça Residency Academy.

During his time as Director of Coaching at Saratoga Springs FC, Shawn played a key role in mentoring coaches, organizing development programs, and helping raise the overall standard of play across the club.

Coach Shawn currently holds a U.S. Soccer National B License and is continuing his coaching education while pursuing both his National A License and UEFA C License.
